The Hero Epic, Beowulf
Beowulf is considered the most important work in Old English literature. In this exercise answer one of the following essay questions:
- Are the values about a warrior society in Beowulf generalized in modern society?
- How do the ideals of a "hero" transcend centuries?
- What are some of the absences found in today's "hero" as compared to Beowulf?
- How does the role of women in today's societies and cultures contrast in Beowulf?
- Why do we still study Beowulf centuries later?
Paper Requirements:
- Two Pages, double spaced
- Works cited: four sources- books or research databases
- MLA
